Ever see a Galant in your area that was fully decked out but you didnt have a chance to talk to the owner? Well in my area there are two fully decked out 8th Generation Galants roaming the streets and they appear less frequently than Bigfoot does.
So tonight I met Tee (I dont think thats the right spelling) who owns a badass 8th Gen that looks oddly familiar to me.
My best friend and many people reported sightings of these badass Galants that they see infrequently on the streets. Ive only seen one of these cars which happens to be owned by a girl ( a rather HOT girl I should mention ).
Seeing as these cars are never around that much I usually just dismiss the stories as fiction or more popularly misreported cars that may have been BMWs, Hondas, or even Domestics. I mean seriously how can there be a fixed up Galant in my area and I not know about it?
So tonight I was cruising down the street to pick up my best friend in the Dark Dragon. A rice boy in a red Integra RS tries his luck with me at a light. Now earlier today I changed the plugs to NGK Rs and oddly my A/C belt snapped and came off on the freeway. So tonight was gonna be a "optimal" night.
I burned him so bad that he'll be feeling it for weeks. So he follows along after I slow down at a modest distance behind me. Then in my rear view I notice headlights with hyper whites....but not just any ordinary headlights....NO WAY! A fixed up 8G?!
I move immediately to the next lane and pace the car. Its silver, kitted, CF splitter, CF cannards, APR CF mirrors, chop graphics (black with silver outline), aluminum wing, exhaust, and 17s. I saw the reverse indiglos and knew right away this car had to be a familiar.
What sucked was I was pacing this car, not instigating a race, but trying to get the owner to talk. He had a hoody on and I couldnt even make eye contact. I also noticed the red integra assumed a race was gonna happen and paced on my right side.
This went on for a few blocks and eventually I got frustrated (plus I missed my street by a few blocks!) and just shot ahead. I went to the next red and got in the turn lane. He pulled up on the side and we made eye contact. I was so enthused that I stalled my car and rolled my window down. We both pulled over and I gave him 2 aluminum and 2 silver GalantSpeed stickers. I wanted to take some pics for the site as well whenever he had time.
As he drove off I realized he still had stock tail lights and eyebrows on his headlights. Everything, including the interior, was so oddly familiar.
I drove home and it finally hit me. That was no ordinary car but that was Chris's (GalantESP) old car as featured in the image gallery. It was really, well I dunno how to say this without sounding wussified, but i dont care. It was really heartwarming to see Chris's old car because I havent seen my good friend in months ever since he moved. It was kinda like driving by a familiar place you havent seen in years.
So thats one down and one more to go. The other galant has blue chopped graphics, a large APR GT Wing, Erebuni non Shogun kit, and 18s. Also Ive heard and seen a hot girl drives it soooo if youre the owner shoot me a PM :).
